Launched new website for Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County

We just launched a new website for Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County. We were very excited to work with such a great community organization. The site allows them to add and update their builds as they happen. They can also add news, events and more using the content management system for the site.

If you live in Kosciusko County and need a website, please contact 1Eighty Design. We would be happy to meet with you and discuss your project!

New Lausch Photography Website Launched

We’re excited about the launch of the new Lausch Photography Website.  Lausch Photography is located in Lafayette, IN and specializes in wedding photography but works with a variety of clients to obtain the perfect images from any event.  Ed, the owner, was our first client over 10 years ago and we’ve been working with him ever since.  I’m sure at this point it would be embarrassing to put up that first design but since then we’ve gone through three other versions, each one offering something new and trying something different.

With this version he can post his most recent work on the home page with his past 5 shoots showing before they are automatically archived to another page. The site also includes a Content Management System (CMS) for updating the site. The CMS will even let him post his new works to his Facebook Page automatically.

Photo Store

The custom photo store allows Ed to add as many events/accounts as he wishes. He can then upload a zip file of all the images using the CMS to the account allowing users to view them.

Here are some of the features:

  • Accounts can be password protected
  • Users can add their favorite photos to a list to choose which ones they want to purchase
  • When adding a photo to their cart, the user can choose from several different sizes
  • Checkout is done right through the site
  • All sales and totals are shown in the CMS with photo total output when you’re ready to print

If you are a photographer (or anyone else) who wants to sell online, contact 1Eighty Design. We would be happy to talk to you about your project and see how we can help.

Launched Funk Park Rangers Website

Funk Park Rangers is one of Warsaw, Indiana’s favorite bands! We’re excited that we got to work with them on their new site.  They wanted a new site that would allow them to post upcoming shows, news articles, photos, videos and interact with Facebook.

The site has a full content management system (CMS) that allows them to log in and update the content themselves whenever they want.  Visitors to their site can like and comment on their upcoming shows and news to help spread the word to their friends on Facebook.

If you’re looking for web design in Warsaw, IN make sure you contact us and we’ll be happy to help you on your project!

New website on the importance of recycling

We were contacted by Wildcat Creek Waste District in Tippecanoe County, IN to convert their annual A-Z Recycling Guide to a website.  They wanted their users to quickly find out what items can be recycled and where to recycle them.  The first thing users will see when arriving at the site are the steps for recycling.

Once they know the steps they can look for their items. On the home page they can either search for an item or select the first letter of the item they have to recycle.  The site also features a single page where they can scroll through all of the items that can be recycled, this is important because they may see an something they didn’t know could be recycled. New Mammaw’s Website with Fluid Design

Mammaw’s Sweet Shoppe in Lafayette, IN has been a client of our for a few years and were ready for a redesign.  The owner sent a picture of a wedding cake to use as inspiration for the new design.  The problem with wedding cakes is they are tall so we came up with a design that would utilize the picture on the entire left side of the site.

Before I continue… If you are looking for wedding cakes in Lafayette, IN you need to contact Mammaw’s.  I can tell you from first hand experience their butter pecan flavored cake is a huge hit at a wedding!

Back on track… The image on the left initially made things difficult to get everything to fit on smaller screens but with some creative CSS we came up with a solution that would change the design based on the users resolution.  The site will actually appear in three different layouts as you can see from the image below.

Design A will be seen when the browser is at least 950px wide, if the resolution is smaller than that it moves on to design B.  Design B simply eliminates the wedding cake and moves the menu to the left.  If the screen is even smaller (mobile phone) it will convert to design C moving the menu and logo above the content as well as collapsing any sub-menus on the page.  When the sub-menus are collapsed we use jQuery to add some JavaScript to them so the user can click to expand on them.

The only bad part of this setup is it doesn’t work in Internet Explorer 8 or below but it does work in the other browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

Need to plan an event? Our client can help!

We had the pleasure of working with Elysian Meetings & Events LLC over the last few weeks.  It was a busy few weeks too!  We created new: two-sided business cards, a tri-fold brochure, a poster AND two websites!

There are two components to Elysian Meetings & Events LLC.  Elysian is for corporate meeting and event planning, while Champagne Jam is for social event and meeting planning.  Basically if you need some sort of event planned, they can help!  They have 49 years of combined experience and were great to work with.

We started small with the business cards and expanded from there.  Once we got the colors, as well as the look and feel down, it was exciting to see their marketing materials expand from there.

The websites are simple informational sites for now, we’ll be expanding on them in the near future.  Pictures of the print materials will also get put up on the site once they get back from the printers.

If you would like to talk about web design in the Warsaw, IN area (or from anywhere really!) contact us and we would be happy to talk to you about your project.
